Originally from Cork, I graduated from University College Dublin in 2023 and from there went directly into a small animal rotating internship at the University of Guelph, Ontario Veterinary College in Canada. Here I developed further my interest in surgery and helped produce a paper on anaesthetic complications associated with one lung ventilation for thoracoscopic surgical procedures, and was first author on a paper characterising the complications associated with modified multilevel surgery for brachychephalic obstructive airway syndrome (BOAS) in dogs. Outside of veterinary, I enjoy watching my home province of Munster rugby, Arsenal football club, and playing tennis.
